Following the Dinner in the Dark event conducted last year, which was attended by the ONE UN Resident Coordinator, he made a commitment to mobilize white canes in support of persons with visual impairment in Rwanda.

As a result, the ONE UN Resident Coordinator, Ozonnia Ojielo handed over 375 white canes, which were mobilized through the ONE UN Rwanda Staff Federation, to the Rwanda Union of the Blind.

We would like to express our gratitude to the ONE UN Rwanda Resident Coordinator and all staff for their great work in this endeavor.

By providing these persons with the means to navigate the world independently and safely, we can significantly enhance their quality of life and empower them to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

Through our collective generosity and compassion, we have the opportunity to create a more accessible and inclusive society, where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive. So, let us join hands and make a difference by supporting persons with visual impairment, transforming their lives one step at a time.
